POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for working with existing and prospective customers to drive and maintain long-term, strategic partnerships. This position will work closely with our internal, cross-functional teams to collaborate, drive and execute our technical strategy, while also overseeing the overall customer-relationship management and sales. This position will also assist with scaling AccelByte on our next exponential curve of

growth, while expanding our presence globally.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director of Business Development is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business development strategies to assist in driving customer acquisition, satisfaction/advocacy, and to ensure AccelByte is continuously driving value for our customers.
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers, game developers, studios, publishers, and key stakeholders to grow our business and promote additional opportunities.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of AccelByte’s offerings to identify profitable business opportunities to build and expand the presence of the company and its brands.
  • Research emerging markets and trends and recommend comprehensive strategies to assist in satisfying our current and potential customer needs, while monitoring market trends and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare and deliver data-driven detailed reports and presentations to senior management on business development activities, including marketing opportunities, as well as current progress, achievements, roadblocks and strategies
  • Build a strong cross-functional operating cadence with our internal teams around pipelines, forecasting, deal review, execution, deployment, as well as revenue realization.
  • Execute technical strategies to build critical industry relationships, to ensure a consistent pipeline, including being the advocate voice and representation on behalf of AccelByte at gaming conferences and events.
  • Reinforce company culture by taking a proactive approach to supporting and promoting AccelBytes’ values and culture.
  • Perform any other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Passion for gaming and technology
  • Bachelor's degree or significant relevant work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience of working within the gaming industry as a subject matter expert,
  • 10+ years of B2B Sales Experience, with focus on building and leading high performance SaaS B2B sales teams.
  • Proven business development, game development, sales, or marketing experience within the gaming industry with an existing network.
  • Collaborative leader, who demonstrates firm ownership of all revenue/ customer goals and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work through highly complex deal structures involving a diverse set of global stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, with the proven ability to evaluate information quickly, identify key issues, and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgment, experience, and common sense.
  • Experience managing and working with cross-functional, international teams.
  • Ability to build a working relationship with employees, managers and the leadership team based on respect and good rapport.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing for open, honest, and consistent communication.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner, protecting the organization’s value.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment, bearing high levels of responsibility and accountability while keeping the best interests of the business in sight.
  • Cognitive skills including the ability to learn, to process thoughts and apply knowledge, to analyze and reason, and to evaluate and make appropriate decisions to achieve business goals and solve problems.
  • Flexibility to adjust to work routines, as required, to meet the needs of the company.
  • Ability to travel 50% or more
