With my background as a former consultant at Bain, I strive to empower others to achieve their professional goals and follow their dreams.

 

About the company:


My Consulting Offer (MCO) is a fully remote company dedicated to helping students and graduates land their dream jobs in management consulting. We provide coaching and guidance to help individuals successfully navigate the interview process and secure positions at top consulting firms. Founded with a mission to empower individuals while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, MCO has grown into a global team of 17 full-time and over 60 part-time members, including former consultants from McKinsey, Bain, BCG, and other renowned consulting firms

About the role:


We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who will play a pivotal role in the growth and success of our mission-driven startup. As the COO, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our company, including marketing, sales, product, and overall business performance. This is a results-focused, remote position where you will be accountable for achieving specific outcomes, driving financial success, and ensuring team alignment and accountability. The COO will report directly to the founder and will be expected to provide regular updates on company's progress.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in improving sales team performance, including sales experience, hiring salespeople, and implementing strategies to enhance sales performance.

  • Management consulting experience with similar industries or business models.

  • Experience in coaching, e-learning, or educational backgrounds is highly desirable, or experience gained from Consulting start-ups or E-learning companies.

  • Familiarity with building and scaling businesses, including team development and achieving growth projections.

  • Proficient in financial management, including P&L analysis, revenue growth, and expense control.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-channel lead generation team and optimize marketing performance.

  • Track record of successfully leading and managing a fully remote team.

  • Experience in hiring, coaching, retaining high-performing employees, and identifying and addressing underperformers.

  • Strong skills in preparing and delivering executive-level updates to stakeholders.

  • Ability to handle operational issues and client escalations effectively, without constant reliance on the founder.

  • The metrics-driven mindset with a focus on accountability and KPI management.

  • Comfortable representing the company in various media, events, and video presentations as needed.

 

Responsibilities (but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to increase the conversion rate by at least 20% year-over-year (YoY).

  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to increase the number of qualified leads by at least 20% YoY.

  • Partner with the Product Team to maintain or improve our current client results.

  • Take ownership of financial results and forecasts, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.

  • Maintain team alignment and accountability, keeping everyone focused on their key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Retain and recruit high-performing team members who align with our culture and values.

  • Present quarterly updates to the founder, providing insights on company progress and future plans.
